Commander Bracket Checker
Paste your decklist and get its bracket the way the rules actually define it — by counting. Every Game Changer, every extra-turn card, every land wipe and every two-card infinite combo gets named, so when your pod asks “what bracket is that?” you can hand them the receipts instead of a guess.
How the brackets are decided
Wizards' bracket system (in beta since February 2025, last updated February 2026) draws its lines with four countable things. Tutors were dropped as a criterion in October 2025 — we still count them, but they don't move the bracket.
| Bracket | Game Changers | Extra turns | Mass land denial | Two-card infinite combos | Games end |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 · Exhibition | None | None | None | None | Turn 9+ |
| 2 · Core | None | A few, not chained | None | None | Turn 8+ |
| 3 · Upgraded | Up to three | A few, not chained | None | None that go off early | Turn 6+ |
| 4 · Optimized | Any | Any | Allowed | Allowed | Turn 4+ |
| 5 · cEDH | Any | Any | Allowed | Allowed | Any turn |
The Game Changers list currently holds 53 cards; we read it from Scryfall every week, so a change reaches this page within days. What no checker can see is intent: a deck with none of these flags that still wins on turn five is a Bracket 4 deck, and the honest thing is to say so at the table. What we give you is the floor.
